About the Fiesta Bowl Invitational

On behalf of Desert Lights Gymnastics and Foothills Gymnastics Association, we are proud to continue to host the Fiesta Bowl Invitational Gymnastics Meet – the longest running Women’s Gymnastics meet in the United States.  We are pleased to host this event at  the 48,000 square foot Rawhide Event Center – a climate controlled indoor competition venue.

The meet was started over 50 years ago by Roe Kreutzer to coincide with one of Arizona’s premier sporting events and highlight the amazing athletes in gymnastics.  Now the Fiesta Bowl Gymnastics Meet is a major event in Women’s Gymnastics.  It is sanctioned by the USA Gymnastics Association and has a rich tradition of hosting numerous Elite gymnasts, future NCAA competitors, National champions, and future Olympians.

Beginning in 1974, the Fiesta Bowl Invitational was hosted by the Arizona Twisters – Arizona’s Premier Gymnastics Program.  Roe Kreutzer, owner of Arizona Twisters, went on to become the USAG Elite Development Director and sold Arizona Twisters to John and Lisa Spini.  Lisa Spini is now the owner of Desert Lights Gymnastics.  As a result, the torch of the Fiesta Bowl Invitational has been passed to Desert Lights, and as we all know, the rest is history!

We hope you will join us for an opportunity to see new shooting stars in the sport and legends compete at Rawhide Event Center!
